There are other ways to replace missing teeth, but implants are considered the gold standard for closing the gaps in your dental arch.
Titanium-based screws are placed in your jaw bone, which then supports a crown, replicating the appearance and function of your own tooth in the most natural way.
All-on-4 Dental Implants
Teeth in a Day
The All-on-4 implant technique allows a patient to attend the practice in the morning and leave with a fully fixed set of teeth in the afternoon of the same day. This technique has been developed in order to reduce the number of implants required, to restore a full jaw of teeth โ both the implants and the teeth are fitted on the same day.
Dr. Sheylla has done many cases and has produced life-changing results for patients that are struggling with loose dentures or a number of failing teeth, helping them to regain the confidence to eat, speak and smile. Following a consultation, she works closely with a digital dental lab to plan your surgery and the full-mouth restoration of your mouth, and you will be able to see your results before you commence the procedure.
If you are looking for a solution to help you smile again and want to find out if this technique is suitable for you, then get in otuch to arrange a consultation with Dr. Sheylla.
The Treatment Journey
Smile Consult
The dentist will assess your dental health, including the gums, and will ascertain what the impact of the gap, or gaps, have on your aesthetic and functional needs. They will also take some x-rays, and a CT scan, before discussing the options available to you.
Implant Placement
The dentist will have done a great deal of work behind the scenes to plan your implant placement visit, including exactly where and how the implant will be placed in your jaw. The procedure involved in placing the implant in your jaw needs to be conducted in a surgically sterile environment, so the room will be set up to resemble the surgical theatre on your visit but that is to ensure that the procedure is conducted at the highest level of cleanliness. The procedure can take up to 90 minutes but may take longer if a bone graft or sinus lift is required, or if multiple implants are being placed.
Crown Placement
The implant screw is left to heal in your jaw for between 3 and 6 months. This is to ensure the bone attaches to it as well as possible before the load of a tooth is placed upon it. An attachment above the gum to the screw, which is below the gum, and a crown is then placed upon this attachment. This part of the process may take 2 visits.
FAQs
I have dentures but they do not stay in โ can implants help?
Yes, many patients wear full dentures and have no natural teeth to support them, which leads to a daily struggle to keep the dentures in place. This can lead to an inability to eat and enjoy all the food they want, but also leads to discomfort in social situations because they are worried their dentures will move or fall out. Implants can be strategically placed in the jaw, with special attachments above the gum upon which to fix the dentures so they no longer move and are held firmly in place.
What if I do not have enough bone in the area where I would like an implant?
Bone shrinks in the area a tooth is removed and over time, it can shrink back so much, that it is not plentiful enough to place an implant in and be sure it will in turn provide the strength it needs to for the crown. We can place a bone graft to add and regenerate bone in the area for the implant before placing the implant.
How long does treatment take?
From implant placement to having an actual tooth in place, it can take between 3 and 6 months. This time allows the implant to integrate with your bone. In very few cases, a tooth can be placed immediately upon an implant but your dentist will advise you if you are suitable for that. During the time it takes for the implant to settle in your bone, we can provide you with a temporary bridge or denture so you do not have to cope with a gap.
How much do implants cost?
They cost from ยฃ3500, but the dentist will put together a bespoke plan for you which will give you a full breakdown of costs before you commit to treatment. It will depend on the number of implants being placed and what additional procedures, like a bone graft, are needed.
Do you offer interest free finance?
Yes, we do. By offering you an easy and flexible finance arrangement, which can be interest-free to suit you, the cost of treatment can be made much more manageable. We want to make this as affordable as possible for all our patients so our treatment coordinator can go through all the finance options available to you when you come in for your visit.
Case One
Dr. Sheylla Brito

Dr. Brito removed the broken tooth and placed an implant and restored it with a porcelain crown over several visits.
Case Two
Dr. Sheylla Brito
This patient came to see us to have the gap in his top arch filled.
Dr. Sheylla restored it with an implant and the patient couldnโt have been happier with the end result.
The fees for implants are listed below. The prices may vary depending on the expertise of the dentist conducting the procedure. Note that there is an initial consultation that is required before commencing treatment. If you do decide to go ahead with implant treatment, it will be necessary to have a CBCT scan of your jaw to help the dentist plan exactly where to place the implant โ but donโt worry โ we have all this on-site so we can deliver a very comprehensive service from start to finish.
We do offer interest-free finance options for our patients to help spread the cost of treatment, and you can speak to any one of our team about that when you come in.
What an asset to Huntingdon and beyond. A Dentist who was taking on new NHS patients and whom my wife and I were lucky enough to be signed with.So from my initial phone call to populating the Practice Form to my first appointment was very easy and painless.Being greeted in the Practice by the lovely, friendly and chatty receptionist, Chloe was smashing. Chloe's infectious smile was captivating and certainly befits the Practice name, SMILES.Then in to meet my designated dentist, again lovely who introduced herself to me and who I have to say, was so easy to get on with.We had a chat about some of my health history and then it was down to business. So after a poking and prodding and a few wiggles of a couple of my loose teeth, I will be going back for a follow up chat and any subsequent treatment.Visiting here today was such a great time, usually we all hate visiting any dentist but I was pleasantly surprised and I was not phased or nervous at all during my visit. That's down to the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff. I have since been back to the dentist for a follow up appointment and walking into the reception and seeing the lovely smiling Chloe again shows that the first time I met her and seeing that smile wasn't a fluke, Chloe is genuinely that nice and ever so friendly. Smiles have got it all, a happy, friendly receptionist, friendly staff and ever so much friendly dentists. We are going to enjoy being patients in this practice. So to sum up my review of this Dental Practice, Excellent and whether you are NHS or Private Patients of this Dental Practice you know you are in good hands. Thanks Chloe, (the Face and Smile of the Practice) โบ๏ธ, you're the best.
The interior was stunning (bonus), the team all very welcoming and polite. The dentist took time to explain everything in detail and was very good with my child.
